Pros

- Started with the best of intentions - Snacks

Cons

- Junior leadership. Very Junior. - No articulate company direction or roadmap - Bro culture amongst senior management - No growth opportunities - Plagued with bureaucracy - Big Brother culture (beware of any internal communications, meetings or the like from being privy to management's curiosity) - Rotating door with absolutely no real plan to mitigate high turnover

Pros

- Speaking to and working with individuals with visual impairments -Opportunity to serve a marginalized community around the globe -The technology is pretty impressive and can really make a difference

Cons

-You are a glorified sales person just meant to push sales to one of the largest unemployed populations -The company will fire anyone at the drop of the hat -The CEO, when you even see him, is so inaccessible and tries hard to be one of the office dudebros -A company that spends so much time convincing themselves that this outrageously priced item is a necessity to people -Working for a company that is the Martin Shkreli of the assistive technology world -Expectation to get in at 8 am and leave at 8 pm without questions -Unpaid overtime, expectation to take only a 30 minute break -No women or people of colour in management -Always pushed for more without any incentive -Expectation to do more work than you are paid for and played up to being "mission driven" which is really money driven -Never really knowing the health or status of the company because everyone is keeps yelling we are making a difference in to a void.

Not a long term job

Pros

-Really makes a product that helps some people. -Amazing to talk to blind individuals in need to hear their story. -Okay benefits, but they do start as soon as you're hired -Provides some food and beverages in kitchen

Cons

-No defined job responsibilities or culture. -No one really interacts with each other and no group activities to work towards better team work. -Fires people for all sorts of reasons, that are not around their job ability. -Changes job functions and responsibilities daily, but no change in pay. -Pay is very little and not a place you'll find a career. -There is little to no ability to move up in the company.
