      Pros

      - Less working on pitches, more work on actual deals - better real deal experience - Leaner structure, more responsibility for you vs bulge bracket firm (learn more) - More closed transactions, better resume - Better work environment, a bit better hours than typical investment bank - Smaller group, allows you to showcase your talents more and get noticed

      Cons

      - Less pay than bulge bracket but it is expected - Less formal training than what you get in bigger firms - Less VPs/Directors to turn too for junior bankers (leads to spinning wheels a lot) - Might be working on 4 or 5 transactions at the same time - time management becomes critical

      Pros

      Upper management and employees from Wisconsin are team players and solid employees.

      Cons

      The only reason there is somewhat positive reviews for Ziegler is because the CMO sent out an email asking staff to do this. The Chicago Office was not a positive environment. The office felt like a high school environment at times and several employees were married and cheating on their spouses here.

      Convenient location to public transportation, A/C always on high.

      Cons

      I was told that if I didn't come back to work immediately after my father's funeral, I'd lose my job. I was "granted" one day off for bereavement. This company does not care about you unless you make them money.
