Zennify Is Going Down Hill - Constant Lies

Pros

When I first started at Zennify, they had a vision that upheld all their core values and really took care of their employees. The work is challenging and have great clients to work with.

Cons

I knew something bad was going to happen to Zennify in an unstable market when Zennify decided to have a $350, 000 company retreat that flew all employees out to have some fun and team build. So, I feared that Zennify was being so optimistic with their goals and wouldn't prevail. Well, my fears came true and now there are investors that are watching every move the leadership is doing. The point of the matter is that everyone talks now at this company and no one can be trusted anymore. Everyone has to watch out for their own backs and its really sad. Almost the entire PSM team has been dissolved and laid off. The CRO who was sharing company financial goals and updates have been fired/let go. Multiple lay offs have been done in a matter of 10 months and ANOTHER one is coming. The CEO and Sales teams are scrambling to get any and every client because quotas have to be met and its stretching the delivery teams so thin that leadership doesn't understand how it is tarnishing the culture, work-life balance and relationships with their customers. Leadership tries to stay be transparent with their financials but they are always hiding the bad news and how challenging their bookings are. We hear in all hands meetings that we are doing fine and have the backing of the investors but a few weeks later lay more people off? I don't care what the market is going through or how stable it is, stay true to your employees because they stuck it out for this company and now its slowly disintegrating. Put yourselves in our shoes and you will understand the feeling we have. The constant lies is turning everyone off. The consulting world is small and every SI Partner knows what is happening at Zennify. That is very embarrassing when my network asks me "What is going on over there?". People are choosing to leave on their own because this alone is a stressing problem for employees. I see great people on LinkedIn all getting hired at competitors or other SI Partners because Zennify plays favorites and keeps employees that don't know what they are doing and let go truly talented and hard working people. I have made friends with a lot of those that have been let go. I am just sad the constant changes and lies aren't stopping. People at the company are looking for new opportunities - places that don't have these unnecessary problems that Zennify has. I am not saying every company has their ducks in order but something as simple as transparency and honesty needs to be had at the very least.

We value the feedback and are sorry to hear this has been your experience. Your comment about us all working through an unstable market is spot on, and change has been a near constant across technology, software, and banking. Zennify has not been immune to these market conditions, and like most companies, we don’t manage everything perfectly. We have had to let go of some amazing individuals over the last few months that have been true culture champions at Zennify, many of whom we have helped find new homes where they can thrive. Unfortunately, companies have to make difficult decisions in difficult times for the long-term health of the broader organization. In our view, culture is created by all the people who make up the company, not a single person or group. It’s about collaboration, innovation, and mutual respect, which was the reason we brought everyone in the company together in-person for the offsite you mentioned. The team had been through a lot with COVID, moving overnight to a remote working environment where they didn’t see their colleagues beyond a Zoom screen, and had been working their tails off to deliver for customers. Looking back, was that the right decision? Perhaps not. But cultures need investment and things looked a little different in early 2022 when it was promised to employees than they do a year later.

Pros

Remote work. Getting more focused with new external leadership.

Cons

Not as profitable as other consultancies of the same size. Layoffs. Lots of quiet restructuring. They want people from the industry so it's the same ideas percolating all the time.

Pros

The founders of Zennify are very passionate about the business, culture, and focused on growth with no thought of selling the company. There is massive growth potential and career defining opportunity to be consumed.

Cons

Currently in a growth trend and hiring many new resources. With this always comes growing pains. I do feel the culture is carrying on but, it will take time for all the new faces to mix into it.
