Pros

Around 60% of the staff are genuinely friendly, welcoming, and supportive of each other. There are some very capable and hardworking people who care deeply about doing a good job and supporting customers and colleagues.

Cons

Benefits have been significantly reduced or removed over time. Bonuses were replaced with funds allocated into Crowdcube, with no option to take this as direct pay, which many staff found frustrating and demotivating. There is a clear lack of mental health support and overall employee wellbeing. The business is consistently under-resourced, leading to high workloads and burnout. Management decisions often appear to favour personal relationships over fairness or what is morally right. This creates a toxic environment where concerns are not always taken seriously. It’s difficult to thrive unless you are closely aligned with management, and it’s disappointing to see genuinely talented people being worked to exhaustion with little recognition or support.
