Pros

With the fairly recent merger with Media General, the overall group equals about 70 stations. There is some strength in numbers, but the corporate management strikes me as being more reactive.

Cons

Because of the Young/Media General merger which will be followed around the first of the year by that group merging with LIN Broadcasting, the outlook is questionable. Salaries are roughly average for the market. Promotions within the station are few and far between (Exception: News PAs often get promoted to show producers, then move on after 1 or 2 years.)

Pros

There is a sense of family with this company. Management is really good to the employees. Employees work together to get the job done.

Cons

Not the newest equipment; but upgrades being made throughout the company.
