The worst place I have ever worked for.

Pros

The only pro to this place are the clients they serve. The clients are very appreciative and fun. Helping them is truly the only reason I stayed as long as I did.

Cons

The negative atmosphere that upper management forces upon all their employees. They segregate employees and punish employees for having friendships. Regardless of how hard you work at this place, nothing you do is right. Don't apply here. You're mental health is worth more than the pennies they will give you.

Pros

The clients are sweet and working with them is a joy. The location is great if you live in the Salt Lake City area.

Cons

There is a very toxic culture of mistrust and under appreciation. Employees are over worked and under-payed. I really wanted to stay, but I just could not afford to and couldn't be available 24/7. From what I could find online the Work Activity Center has a huge annual budget and a well played CEO, but everyone else just gets treated like disposable pawns. Seems like people are always quitting and making more work for the people who stay around.

Not a long term company

Pros

The opportunity to work with adults with disabilities in a variety of settings.

Cons

The management is at a real disconnect with the employees. There is no value in the employees to management. We are all expendable. The high turnover is hard for the clients. Dont take this job as a career choice. Hourly pay caps out really low and there is no room for employee growth. A good second or third job.. The clients are awesome but the work is exhausting. Always expecting more with no emplyee support
