Uneducated People given store managers position without training.

I have been working at Wickes full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Down to earth, approachable senior management.
    Company listen to you.
Good work life balance for retail.

    Cons

Store management structure (and roles) aren’t realistically set up versus what’s expected to be done.

Low cost retailing hits you hard from an Operator perspective.

Too much focus on the K&B part of the business when the core side is still the bread and butter.

    I worked at Wickes full-time

    Pros

Great Job, great people and you never know what is going to walk in through the door.

    Cons

over populated sales room with reduced earnings, the work we are getting through the door is diluted since there have been more designers taken on. Terrible corporate decisions made that have cost the company and the designers dearly, and we got the blame - shame on you wickes hierarchy.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the current upper management team and get people in who know how to run a business
