Pros

- nationwide company - aimed towards a good cause

Cons

- a clique office environment - miserably paid (£16K for long hours, full time, regardless of location) - highly repetitive work that makes you feel like a robot (calling nursing homes and reciting lengthy lists of patients or residents to check they are 'still there') - culture of blame (passive aggressive speech from managers such as 'it's not your fault but...' Or 'I'm not blaming you however...' - loud office culture (try getting your work done and to the great pace they expect of you whilst having to put up with revelations about personal lives you'd rather not know about) - they don't care in the slightest for those who are sick (I've been expected to come to work and harassed by phone when I couldn't make it in to find out what was wrong with me, even after I'd left messages with an explanation and apology) - one person seems to be running all queries relating to payroll - they had over a month to prepare themselves for my start date and yet I did not have a computer for the first two to three weeks on the job - generally, a waste of one's life (I try not to harbour regrets but working for this company couldn't be classified otherwise) - finally, no clear opportunities for advancement despite talk of such at the interview

If it seems too good to be true then it probably is!

Pros

One of the better companies in the domiciliary market. Provides a good service and does (generally) what it says (when able.) A few of the longest members of staff (and a few of the newer staff) are rare finds and actually treat you with a bit of respect plus they know their jobs and will help as much as they can.

Cons

I actually haven’t got enough space to write the cons. A pretty conceited workplace that works under false promises. Very very bad, immature and unprofessional management and a fair few staff members who drag the morale down with their high school politics. Not a fair place and will lie through their teeth. A few managers can’t hold their water let alone personal and private information.
