They promise portfolio work that you won't get

Pros

VERY few good projects among many less desirable ones..

Cons

The office has been emptied of all talented people. Many left on on their own and many were laid off or let go. They have unreasonable expectations to make people work overtime and on weekends. Managers practice fear tactics to keep people in line. They like to lash out and outright abuse employees at the cost of getting the work done quickly. Also expect to be micro managed on your time sheets.

Thank you for your and those who provided feedback on Glassdoor. Part of Viewpoint’s success and longevity as a company stems from our ability to evolve, to adapt to changes in the marketplace, and position our staff for future success. It is vital that we consider all assessments of our work, how our team works together and, how they work with our clients. Viewpoint was purchased in the fall of 2018 by Dolphin Entertainment. The move positions Viewpoint as a sister agency to Dolphin’s other two recent entertainment acquisitions. Each of the Dolphin companies provides complementary services to one another and we are excited about the new endeavors we have already begun to collaborate on. In early 2019, Viewpoint restructured its staff for the first time in over 30 years. The move was precipitated by the loss of a large client that had been acquired as part of a major media merger. While certainly not ideal, these changes and decisions were not taken lightly and we held on to the staff for as long as we could. Viewpoint strives to bring in the most talented, team-oriented people. To teach, inspire and treat them fairly as we continue to grow as a company. As a small firm we also expect our staff to rise to challenges, bringing creativity and value to our clients—and to our company as a whole. Creative development and production is a demanding industry, with deadlines, feedback, and direction shifting constantly. Occasionally staff are required to work late, on weekends, or holidays. That is the nature of providing stellar creative services to our clients – something we take tremendous pride in. However, working around the clock is the exception, not the norm, and we most recently implemented a new policy supporting our team when time-sensitive requests come from clients. Viewpoint has always treated our clients and staff with the utmost respect, and we work to foster an environment of open conversation and collaboration. We will take stock in the feedback provided as our talented team continues to develop and deliver the highest caliber of creative work for our amazing clients. We wish all our previous employees the best and appreciate their contributions over the years. We also look forward to working with new talent and team members as we move forward and continue to grow.

Pros

They allow pets and stock the kitchen with snacks.

Cons

- Company has been purchased and layoffs already occurred within the first 3 months. New staff beware! - They hire you with the hope of working on their premium roster of clients, but those clients are long gone. - No Mentorship, and what mentors they had were let go. - Turn over is extremely high
