      If you’re reading all the positive reviews on here, beware. VideoAmp rewards employees to write positive reviews to help conceal all the negativity. This. Place. Is. Toxic. If you thrive on being micromanaged, this is the place for you. If you enjoy internal selling, this is the place for you. If you use LFG in your everyday language, this place is for you. Experienced reps don’t matter, leadership’s lack of experience and people skills is astonishing and the tech isn’t even that great. Their values are pointless because they don’t follow them! Practice what you preach, VideoAmp. Aggressive health competitions that mentally and physically hurt people are not “fun”. Nothing gets shipped fast when every proposal needs to be approved by the president and CRO. Grow exponentially doesn’t mean putting unqualified reps in leadership roles. Figuring out the complexities of the intranet with no training and no help isn’t a recipe for success and last but not least you can’t create trust with a gossip, cultish environment that stems directly from the top. If you are a seasoned rep, do yourself a favor and jog on. There are PLENTY of opportunities out there and with this industry-changing, I’d recommend checking out the competition (they have serious headway over VideoAmp).

Much of what is noted here is simply not factual.       Beware: Textbook Toxic TechBro Environment

      TOXIC WORK ENVIRONMENT: CEO has created a cultish culture. Think CrossFit meets Frat-House with a sprinkle of lead by fear, and you have the recipe for VideoAmp culture. The founder literally calls people who may be struggling to hit their performance goals… leeches. And consistently says "don't be a leech" on company calls. Cringy stuff. Not all C-suite is terrible but it only takes a few with great influence to really create a terrible environment. I listened to an ill-prepared speech the founder gave to the whole company about the new strategy for the business, to be followed up by an announcement of a VideoAmp clothing line they are dropping. Tons of resources went into filming a sizzle real for said clothing line (all the while critical infrastructure needs resources and development). He also presented his amazing background as an entrepreneur (to the whole company) that included a long-winded description of how he conned a classmate to take his classes and all of his notes for free in college. I couldn't have been less inspired and was actually embarrassed for him. As you can imagine all of this amounts to unrealistic and grandiose delusions of where the company is going and how it’s going to get there sustainably, incessant micro-managing, crippling micro-processes, lack of transparency, finger pointing (mostly from management), lack of collaboration and nauseating politics. If you are a respected professional with a seasoned track record and resume, I would highly recommend you keep it pushing. Remnant media dollars come and go like the wind. You can do better.
