Pros
- You get paid a salary - Work in 2000s style where most things are still backwards like running an operations from 3 decades ago, great if you are close to retirement age and can't keep up with what a modern workforce require. Average employee age in corporate function is probably like 55 so it feels like a pre-retirement home.
Cons
Full of toxic people across the organization, regardless of levels. Early employee who is now head of GSBM is past 70 years old and refuses to step down, gatekeeping a lot of stuff for herself and behaves like an empress in the company with no respect for anyone except her beloved Chairman. Clearly not matching what is required of a senior leader in the company but there's zero pipeline for succession and company still keeping her. And this is just an example of management level people in this company. Benefits and pay are really just bare minimum.
