Pros

Velocity isn't afraid to get out there and find new opportunities. The company is always growing and the opportunity to work with new people and technology is great for personal growth. The people culture here is also very much casual, fun and GENUINELY open to new ideas and still echos the startup spirit.

Cons

Growing pains as you would expect and some communication issues at times as is expected with a company that grows and changes as rapidly as Velocity. There's also going to be a lot of work at times as is common in this industry during certain seasons as well as because of the aforementioned growing pains.

Pros

Velocity is world class in company culture. They really care about their employees, and everyone is treated the same and fairly. Outside of all of the amazing benefits (and there are a lot) I think what really makes them special is their willingness to grow, learn, and listen.

Cons

Can't think of a thing!

Pros

-VRU has one of the best benefit packages in not just the insurance market but the American job market. If you look at Velocity you will find a large amount of supplemental insurance options, a hsa option, a gym membership benefit, some other benefits paid for on VRU’s behalf, and a sense of protection. -Managment is very strong especially at start of this year and they have been honest with themselves when they might have miscommunicated or made a mistake. Every leader in the company I believe wants you to succeed and evolve. Everyone is very friendly and the company is willing to get better everyday. -Strategy is changing. 2023 Was a difficult year in our market at which VRU took a step back in some ways but made acquisitions and built a portfolio for itself to really be successful in 2024 and 2025. If one loves ambition, autonomy, and execution of tall goals VRU is perfect for you. It's always on the brink of something interesting!

Cons

The one con would maybe be the high deductible insurance plan but I think (just a guess) 90% of companies in America have one. They offer several supplemental plans and an hsa plan you can opt into to sort of ease the pain of a high deductible. But that is really it. It’s something I can live with and not a major problem. A very minor thing at a tremendous company that has several incredible positives and opportunities. And to reinforce in the pros section all of the other benefits compete at a high level with the American job makret. I feel very taken care of at VRU.
