Pros

Paid medical, decent wages, vacation time

Cons

Very much a lack of leadership from the top. Management treats employees extremely poorly and in a demeaning manner a majority of the time. Be prepared to be micromanaged. Projects are usually delayed making the customer experience an issue.

As chairman, I can say that I think there is some truth to this now very old assessment. But things are now quite different. The company CEO is the original founder and one of the founders of AVIcode, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2010. He is an outstanding manager and professional, who brings his visionary leadership to the VIAcode team. With Victor Mushkatin’s addition as CEO, the board has also added owner Alex Zakonov , Director of Kubernetes at Google. The leadership void has been filled!

There is the problem with sales pipe line in the company. So there may be short of profitable projects. Also the company has some specific policy to build internal company hierarchy. As a result talented technical people leaving the company.

This is a fair review, taken from the perspective of one person in the dev stack. We have indeed spent a lot of money on compensation, benefits, training, travel opportunities and the creation of a business infrastructure for the long haul. We are also now deeply engaged in a company-wide program that we call "Customer First" designed around ensuring that each customer experience with VIAcode is the best possible. Ultimately, though, these are the hallmarks of a company that cares deeply about its FUTURE, often more than its present profits. In fairness, it is management's job to be attentive to each factor; and that is exactly where we are now. As the Chairman of the Board, I welcome these kinds of comments.
