Pros

If you want to have a positive impact on the world then this is the best company to work with. Sheeza (CEO) is keen to bring change by promoting the new entrepreneurs and in the process giving society with much needed changes that those new entrepreneurs have to offer. Also, you get to learn a lot of new things along with a chance to do something good for the society. There is a flexibility of work hours and the CEO is very understanding.

Cons

I don't believe there are any downsides of working with UpEffect.

Pros

I volunteered at UpEffect before starting graduate school last year as I wanted to learn more about social enterprises and their impact. UpEffect was a great place to do this, both in terms of the exposure and the work culture. I found Sheeza (UpEffect, CEO) to be very approachable and a great manager. She gave me responsibility from Day 1 in client calls, blog posts and meeting target deliverables. She also invested signficant time in bringing me up to speed with the various platforms used by the business (that I was not familiar with coming from the corporate world) and gave me great insight into the business model. I also really appreciated Sheeza's regular feedback and check-ins. It was a real pleasure to work for her and I hope to see UpEffect evolving from strength to strength. Overall, I recommend UpEffect as a highly professionally-run start-up, with a great culture and flexibility to work remotely and to engage with social enterprises that have a meaningful impact. -- Chantal

Cons

Downsides of working remotely can be the people contact, particularly when you are looking to learn as must as possible.

Pros

Sheeza, founder of UpEffect is one of the most ethical people to work with. She is on a mission to create a positive impact in the business sector in London. At UpEffect, I saw and felt a genuine care for all team members and their work-life balance. As a new mother, I was given the flexibility and support to work remotely while being able to contribute at a managerial level. I left the company after learning a great deal about social impact businesses, crowdfunding and ethical practices and landed another great opportunity with Sheeza’s support and positive review.

Cons

Just like all startups, the members often do more than what their job title requires. Rehaab Daud Prvioud UpEffect employee Currently - Head of Marketing at DivInc Founder at Pehhchaan
