I worked at Trion Worlds full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Good company to work at. Felt right at home with lots of friendly and super capable people. If you worked hard, it is known. If you are just there for the paycheck with minimal work, felt like it works for those individuals also.

    Cons

Direction over 10 years constantly changes in a big curve. Some of the layoffs were questionable, hardworking people with good abilities were laid-off. Multiple hats expected for many positions without pay raises to accompany. In return, the individual's specialization suffered and resulted in overtime.

I worked at Trion Worlds full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great people, great community. Beer Fridays were nice while they lasted. Plenty of opportunity for advancement if you put in the effort.

    Cons

An unending parade of horrific management (I excuse the CEO from this statement). Terrible interdepartmental communication. Continued promises of bonuses that never came to be.

I worked at Trion Worlds full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good benefits, holidays and vacation time, stocked kitchen, and nice people.

    Cons

C-level was not transparent with employees on company financials. Some employees did not work 8 hours but instead took long lunches. Lazy work environment and C-level didn't care since they were doing the same. Managers spend money on frivolous things when should be watching the bottomline.

I worked at Trion Worlds full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Interesting games. Flexible work hours with possibilities to work from home. Truly felt like upper management cared for you and would listen to you if you spoke up. Crunch times were avoided and rare. Layoffs were avoided as much as possible. People were passionate and very knowledgeable there. Open communication within the company, everybody could express opinions about anything or any game and be heard.

    Cons

Nonexistent middle management. Low possibilities for promotions, raises, and bonuses. Stocks always felt worthless and were in the end. Hard to tell the direction and status of the company.

I worked at Trion Worlds full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

One of the best jobs I've had. Amazing people, leadership that really cared about their employees, and, despite our reputation, a bunch of fantastic games.

    Cons

Unfortunately finances were what they were and various things caused Trion to effectively close.
