Great learning opportunities, but a significant divide exists
Pros
So much to learn and be hands on with. Placed just on the skirt of town and easy to get to work from highway. If you need a job, this will fill that need. It is a job.
Cons
The company has an obvious divide. The floor vs the office. Office space workers have a mentality of superiority. Floor workers are under valued. This divide makes work flow, concerns, communication, and respect be a challenging thing to achieve. Any comments of potential growth for the company are met with defensive by the office or higher ups. “It’s just how the company works” well, it’s not going to be sustainable if the office doesn’t listen to concerns of the floor. Office can’t do their job if the floor people aren’t working. It’s not a place that offers growth. You either suck it up and work forward or leave. Your voice won’t be heard, unless you are an office person.
