Pros

Leadership espouses a cutting-edge approach to treatment of addiction and trauma. Team members collaborate at high levels to provide quality treatment to clients. Front line staff (therapists, RA's, nurses, etc.) really care and it shows! The Ranch culture and senior management are good, but Elements has the control and their management is poor.

Cons

Elements, the parent company, has done significant damage to the morale of this environment by brutally laying off thirty-six employees right before Christmas without notice nor cause. The Ranch espouses a "family" atmosphere but cannibalizing your own staff is not a family value. It's not that they laid people off: business is business and sometimes there has to be reduction. It's how it was done: no advance warning, no severance, police escort off campus. The Ranch created more trauma that it treated, for those staff that were laid off and for the staff that had to carry on after they were gone, not to mention the current clients who witnessed it and lost connections with staff with whom they had formed significant therapeutic bonds.

Pros

Somewhat flexible schedule when things are going smoothly. Beautiful surroundings which create a peaceful atmosphere. Great employees to work with.

Cons

The job duties are expansive and the pay is not. Upper management is not supportive and often leaves House Managers with the messy work.

Pros

Beautiful area, co workers amazing, opportunity for personal growth by the nature of what you do

Cons

Pay is below poverty level, they ride you and take you for all you are worth- then label you as a problem when you are fed up with not getting your needs met. No raises, no bonus, no company picnic, med/ dental keeps going up
