Pros

Exposure to high-pressure operations and stakeholder management. You will learn to handle escalations and ambiguity quickly, whether you like it or not.

Cons

Workload is excessive and often unrealistic. Poor manpower planning results in constant firefighting. Processes are unclear or not standardised, so teams spend more time reacting than working efficiently. Frequent last-minute requests and shifting priorities create unnecessary stress. Leadership lacks consistency and internal alignment, which trickles down to the ground team. Employee welfare is not prioritised. Benefits and staff support feel minimal compared to expectations placed on employees. Work-life balance is poor, and burnout is common.

Very dependent on which department you're in and who's your reporting manager. It can be good if you are under supervision of someone responsible and smart. People in the office talk with each other a lot, and are close knitted.

Cons

Same as its Pros, your work experience will be very dependent on who you report to. Management can be very stoic and work hours can get lenghty when surge. Not much opportunities for promotion too.
