Pros

Nothing is great about this company.....

Cons

What did we tell you, the second a bunch of negative reviews come through, the 5 star reviews come trickling in to try and mask the fact that this company has burned bridges with everyone. Just a little tip - if you want your reviews to look real maybe space them out a few days apart and don't immediately post them right after a negative review.

Thanks for sharing your Taplytics experience. It deeply saddens me, and the rest of our team, that you clearly had such a poor experience during your time at our company. I truly hope that you find happiness and fulfillment in your life. Hyperbolic reviews, like the one you posted, have created many internal discussions amongst our team members. The overwhelming sentiment is how upset our team feels when they read a review like this and its inaccurate reflection on a place where they love to work. Your assertion that we post fake reviews is insulting. No member of the founding team has posted a review on Glassdoor. You may fairly disagree with our founder-lead company philosophy; however, even across the other negative reviews that you reference is there any mention of anyone being treated with anything other than respect, honesty and integrity? If members of our team elect to share their honest feedback on Glassdoor, it is of their own volition. Our employees know that culture is paramount to our success. Beyond the recent fun group activities like Zoom yoga classes, virtual farm visits, and online poker nights, our team gets together outside of work regularly. We enjoy each other’s company and regularly celebrate our successes inside and outside of work. At Taplytics, our core product relies on experimentation and iteration to help our clients improve their businesses. Our company follows this same approach with its growth. In 2019, we doubled in size. At this rate of growth, iteration and change occurred quickly. This is one of the exciting and challenging opportunities that comes with start-up life. This isn’t the life for everyone, but the only way to grow and evolve is to embrace this philosophy, even if difficult changes happen in the short term. Have we always made the right decisions? No! But we have learned from each decision and it has helped us evolve faster and better. As leaders, we are driven by creating an environment where our employees feel supported, heard and respected. We value the feedback we receive formally through culture surveys and informally through 1:1 conversations. As a Co-Founder group, we are ultimately responsible for the environment and culture of the company. My team and I are proud of that culture and we work hard every day to make it better. When we receive critical feedback, it’s our responsibility to own it and address it. I’m sorry to disappoint you with a heartfelt response. If you have additional feedback about your experience that you’d like to share, please email feedback@taplytics.com so we can have a conversation about your concerns.

Pros

New office is spacious. Some great people work there.

Cons

Where to start? In my personal experience and what I was witness to, leadership is very inexperienced, like a lot of startups people who co-founded the company are in positions they are severely unqualified for but act like they are leading experts and know best. To make it worse they hire people with the experience and expertise but don’t listen to their advice or suggestions, especially the CEO who seems to think he's an expert in everything and micromanages everyone. They claim they want feedback and for employees to speak up but when they do they aren’t listened to and either leave for better opportunities where their expertise and experience will be valued or they are dismissed. For a company with such a low employee count the churn is incredibly high, which says a lot. If you're a door mat and have no opinions you'll do fine and fly under the radar. As well there is almost no diversity in senior leadership. There is one female in a senior position and the rest of leadership is surprise surprise a bunch of white guys.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review about your experience at Taplytics. While each experience at Taplytics will vary, we’re disappointed to read that your time here was less than positive. At Taplytics, a core value we share is Winning as a Team and all contributing to the continued growth of the organization. Something we pride ourselves on is the exposure we are able to give our employees to all levels of management, having them directly involved in decisions that help to shape the future of the company. We strongly believe that a founder-led company provides the passion, culture and entrepreneurial spirit that’s needed to create a great technology business. We also believe that growth isn’t possible without having a strong, experienced, and supportive leadership team. Our senior leadership team consists of industry veterans who have led 100+ sized teams and helped other technology organizations scale and succeed. As it relates to employee turnover, we have only seen two employees voluntarily leave the organization in 2020. It’s our hope that employees who have moved on to new opportunities gained valuable skills at Taplytics, which helped accelerate their career development and we remain proud of their career growth and we wish them nothing but success. We openly welcome feedback with regular internal sessions (through weekly 1:1's, organization wide All-hands meetings, employee engagement surveys, and a continued open door policy with our CEO and founding team). We take all feedback seriously and consistently strive to make all Taplytics employees feel valued, heard, represented, and respected. And like we encourage our clients to iterate, we believe in iterating and improving ourselves with the feedback we receive from the incredible Taplytics team. As an employee driven effort coming out of feedback on how we can support the fight against COVID-19, our team volunteered to design, engineer and distribute Personal Protective Equipment COVID Boxes (https://www.covidbox.org) to hospitals and frontline medical works nationwide. Diversity in leadership is something we are actively working on. While we have one of the brightest female minds as our Head of Finance, we are actively working on programs and inclusion groups to ensure clear paths to management for everyone within our organization. We are proud that our Customer Success and Enterprise Sales teams are predominantly female and are comprised of some of the brightest minds in SaaS. We are in the process of building a Women at Taplytics group focused on highlighting and supporting the goals and achievements of the women within our organization. We’ve also partnered with the Women in Tech Sales Bootcamp to continue to encourage women to explore opportunities in the tech community. If you have any additional feedback to share about your experience, we encourage you to send an email to feedback@taplytics.com so we can review and address your concerns if needed. It’s our hope that employees who have moved on to new opportunities gained valuable skills at Taplytics, which helped accelerate their career development and we remain proud of their career growth. We have recently appointed a new Head of Customer Success and Culture who brings a playbook of processes centered around employee development that we will be implementing across all departments. Whether an employee elects to remain with Taplytics, or develop skills for the next step in their career, we will always encourage our employees to think big (another Taplytics value!) and aim to learn new skills.
