      Great place to work

Aug 5, 2021 - Strategic Partnership Manager in Seoul

      Pros

      - Super smart and thoughtful, amazing people that I think are some of the best within this industry - 0 interpersonal stressors - Employee satisfaction is considered a significant factor for company success, the leadership values the feedback from the team for better performance. - Constant updates on the core product that are helpful for the sales pitch - Great perks and benefits

      Cons

As other companies do, internal procedures that are necessary to meet client's requests on time could take time since it requires agreement between multiple departments or stakeholders. One good thing to get over this is departments in the company are well-organized and most people willingly help you.

      Great Team

      Pros

Wonderful coworkers and attitude, supportive of work-life balance, encouraged face to face meetings and offsite interaction to build team collaboration.

      Cons

Some members of the senior leadership team lacked integrity and character, and it reflected poorly on them and the overall impression left by the company.

      Fun Office Environment

Jul 28, 2021 - Senior Office Coordinator in Cambridge, MA

      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

There was a great office space, catered lunches, company hosted happy hours and parties, team building, Volunteer and Wellness Days, etc.

      Cons

The downside of being at the Cambridge office with headquarters in San Fran was that it was difficult to grow in the office coordinator position as most responsibilities were banal and the majority of more challenging tasks were handled by people at HQ.

      Decent People, Inefficient Leadership

      Pros

-Work from home is allowed through 2021

      Cons

Executives are out of touch with a post covid work environment Tapjoy has zero physical products. There's absolutely no point in having a physical office. Very much a work hard party hard environment. There's a reason why people are leaving Tapjoy, and I'm talking about people who have been here 3+ years some 5+ years. I'm sure they wanted to progress in their career but I can also bet a part of the reason was because the executives are pushing for a full return to the office.

      Not suitable long term

      Pros

The people are incredible, and there is an amazing community that holds up across geos (and forced fully remote.) You'll find support and friendship where you least expect it. If you reach for help, resources can be abundant. For most positions, you are trusted to be highly autonomous and flexible with your own time.

      Cons

Tapjoy is a fun place to work, but almost to its detriment. For a company that was founded in 2007, it should act its age and be more mature at this point in time. There is still a "start-up mentality," in culture and structure in a lot of ways, and some teams should really be more established and built out to support growing pains. There is a painstaking amount of secrecy around the value of the company, worth of stock options, and future of the company.
