Following Qatari law staff are fined for misconduct, this employer however often fines staff without their knowledge and doesn’t allow for the chance to defend their position. Gratuity pay is very low because of the transport fees bulking up your salary. For example my position was advertised as 12500 riyals but my salary was only really 4500 riyals meaning my gratuity was only 20 percent of that. Management is very inexperienced, continuous professional development is no existent in the schools meaning staff in management positions have worked at the school for many years without any courses to refresh their training.
