Pros

- Great work-life balance. No expectation to respond to calls or emails on weekends or evenings. - Great people. Everyone is genuinely nice and happy to collaborate. - Good management. No one feels talked down to or undervalued. Management has realistic expectations, and fosters a reasonably low-stress environment. They are understanding about life circumstances and try to be as flexible as possible.

Cons

If lots of vacation time is important to you, consider working elsewhere. While the vacation allotment gets better over time, for the first few years it is below average. This trend of valuing seniority comes up a lot, which can be seen as a positive or a negative. On the plus side, it isn't hard to schedule the time off and management is understanding about last minute absences. The dress code is somewhat strict. On the dressier side of business casual. No jeans.

Pros

I worked at TLG for seven years, left for five and came back two years ago. The company has evolved into an organization that is truly collaborative. Management has great clarity about what their focus is and what they want to accomplish. They make well analyzed, calculated decisions to take risks, and have far more successes than failures. They work hard to boost each employee's strong points and give people the chance to succeed, and the support and kudos when they do. This is one of the most mature, adult groups of people I've ever worked with -- no time for backbiting and undermining efforts, and a true focus on doing the right thing for the customer. I plan to retire here and would find it hard to find a place to work that I enjoy more.

Cons

There's a tendency to work with too lean a staff to accomplish everything. Burnout is a concern.
