The people you work with and the culture.

Cons

Specifically in consulting (and for other roles also), the company had no real plans for career paths. Although there was often lots of discussion and various pronouncements from management about it, the fact is that is was mostly all talk and no real action was ever taken. So, for some roles, if you were working in that role and wanted to move to something else within the company to broaden your experience it simply wasn't feasible. If you wanted to progress you had to consider moving on to another organization.

It is great to see you enjoyed the people you worked with and the culture while you were with Subex. It is a great environment. As far as your comments on career paths, Subex today is a growing company with expanding product lines, an expanding set of customers and many new challenges requiring creative and enthusiastic people who are rewarded for taking initiative (whether in their current role or by moving to a new role) and moving the company forward. We do wish you the best in whatever career path you have chosen after leaving Subex.
