Pros

- I got to work on some core features. - Kitchen is fully stocked with some good snacks. - HR seems to care about the employees and the problems they face.

Cons

- Horrible engineering culture. The codebase is old and has lots of spaghetti code and we were not given any time to refactor them. - Pay is low compared to other startups in the region. - Location: lot of crazies hang out outside the office and you can hear them while at work.

Pros

The team at StudyBlue is awesome! Everyone is passionate about the product and the fact that we are helping students every day! StudyBlue is full of smart hardworking people and the leadership team really cares about the employees. Unlike other bay area startups, there is real work-life balance here. Salaries are competitive and the sabbatical program is a real perk!

Cons

Parties and lunches aside, the office can feel quiet at times as people are focused on their work. I imagine that will change as we continue to grow and hire new people.
