Pros

Coworkers are nice, location close to skytrain

Cons

- Managers basically force you to work weekends and overtime (without pay!) to achieve company targets and bonuses. If you don’t do this, you are at the brink of being fired. - Pay is very very low (spoiler alert: it’s 40,000 per year and commissions is not easy to get). Don’t believe the job posting that says you can get up to 100,000. That’s not happening unless you work like a slave day and night, weekdays and weekends - Managers treat you like a number. You exceeded expectations in the first 2 months but fell behind in the last month of the probation period? You are fired because you can’t keep up with the expectations that your manager put on you based on your previous performances. You did terrible in the first 2 months but then you exceeded expectations in the last month? Managers gonna keep you after the probation period even though the total leads that you got are less than the first person, congratulations! That is why they’re always hiring because they keep fire people due to the unrealistic expectations that they set without considering other factors that might affect sales performance (e.g. dead leads, etc.) In short, please do yourself a favor and don’t accept an offer from this company unless you are prepared to work like a slave (50-60 hours per week for 40,000) and risk being fired after the probation period. If I were you, I would rather be unemployed than working like a dog for this company and still struggle to pay rent.

Pros

- A few managers here do a good job - A few nice co-workers - Transit is paid - Location is close to the skytrain

Cons

- I was one consistently one of the tops reps here and you can make decent commission. However, most of the top sales reps have to work entire weekends UNPAID to reach higher bonuses. - The culture here is very cut throat co-workers are constantly pitted against each other, employees gossip, talk behind each other's backs, spread rumours and generally act petty. - Management will pressure you to work weekends unpaid, especially if you are not hitting targets. They also hire people from Columbia so they can pay them cheap. - Some managers will openly yell at employees in front of others for mistakes instead of pulling people aside to talk about it. Even new hires with little to no sales experience. Although my own manager didn't do this, I've seen it happen many times. The turnover at this place is very high. - The HR department at this place doesn't do a good job investigating issues and managing problems in general. Accusations aren't properly vetted to see if there is any evidence behind them. They will just assume whoever made them is telling the truth. - Upper management at this place tells you that you're just a number, they don't care about you. If you complain about anything they will just tell you to leave. This is probably why they are hiring all the time :) - If you are reading this, remember that sales is already a hard job, don't work at a toxic place that is going to make it even more stressful and difficult. I was making good money here and it still wasn't worth it, I regret not leaving sooner.

Pros

I wouldn't really call it a pro as it is pretty common for jobs like these to have benefits. Anyhow they have a very minimal benefits package.

Cons

Terribly run. This is a place where office politics are much more important to the management then your actual performance. There's no job security. The only requirement to work here is not having a moral compass. Terrible bonus structure. I don't know if the bonus structure has changed since I worked there but when I worked there anyone who made decent amount of commission had to work on weekends. On top of that you will not get overtime for working on weekends either. Overall they are very cheap when it comes to rewarding hard work. Management always expects hard work from employees but all you get in return is a taco party. The disconnect between the management and the employees is abysmal. I wouldn't recommend anyone to work at spring financial. Complete waste of time
