Good benefits, toxic clients and blind leadership

Excellent benefits and work/life balance accommodations.

Cons

Considers themselves a "family" -- iykyk. Toxic clients and leadership not backing the staff. Some employees pull all the weight while others don't. Feedback about some employees not take seriously based on playing of favorites.

Pros

Spawn is a big family that really does support their employees both professionally and personally. Benefits are great, and include extras like PAWturnity and summer Fridays. Every employee can have an impact on the direction of the agency based on the ESOP (employee-owned) structure and the transparency that comes from the Executive team due to this structure provides understanding of agency challenges more than any other place I have worked. Leaving was a very hard decision and 100% based on my professional goals and had nothing to do with not being happy with working at Spawn. I will miss them!

Cons

Can't think of many. You would think maybe location with the agency being based in Alaska, but the chance to travel there every now for employees outside of Alaska is actually a huge plus.

No dogs in the office

As a dog owner and lover, I'm with you! The building management does not allow dogs in our office, otherwise, you'd see them there. Our Pawternity benefit (2 paid days to bond with a new pet or grieve a loss) is an indication of our affection for all pets. Thanks for rating us./Karen
