Pros

I am working for SpanishVIP more than a year now and I can say I feel a part of the whole SpanishVIP family. I 've learned a lot during this period, and I guess that what I'm in right now could be a huge boost for my future carrier. My supervisors are giving me enough freedom but also responsibilities and I strongly believe that you can only grow if you learn from your own mistakes. I've been working for 2 start-ups before working for SpanishVIP and I never had such a good team as I have here. My colleagues are from all over the world (majority South America), very international team and I really feel that we are "building the bridge between cultures".

Cons

Sometimes working remotely can be difficult, especially when there are a lot of decisions to be made. But as planned for 2020, we will have more offices in Canada and South America, so I might relocate in one of them.

Pros

It is a very good school to start in the world of teaching Spanish, they have many ideas in terms of material, and you receive a lot of support and attention to start this process.

Cons

The payment at least in 2020-2021, it was around 6000 or 7000 colombian pesos. so If you wanted to earn a lot you had to work at least 40 hours, they said that they provided the material but in real life you have to look for more materials and design your classes. So maybe for a person that didn't study Spanish that's okay, or better than having nothing. But there were young people studying for five years a bacherlor's degree on teaching it's very, very unfair, even if they payed you 15,000 pesos for a private class(I dont think so) it would still be very unfair, 15,000 pesos now it's like 3 dollars now. So the atmosphere and the people were very nice, but seriously, you cannot buy food or pay a rent only with "congratulations" or saying "we are a family"

Pros

This is the most unprofessional "academy" I have ever worked

Cons

- you literally have to do everything, monitor the student, be aware of the emails to reply every single email you receive - they pay like $1 USD per hour, they don't even care if you have experience or not - they are so unprofessional and rude, every time I wanted to talk to the manager her answer was: I'm very busy at the moment and when I tried to have a meeting to explain I feel uncomfortable with some situations they literally blocked me and deleted my profiles and guess what, they didn't even pay me
