Thank you for taking the time to leave a review - especially as a former employee. 2023 has been a big year for us, but continuing to build our culture and support our teams are still items at the top of our agenda. Hope you're doing well in your current role.

Pros

Lots of days for working remotely anywhere across the world.

Cons

There is no business strategy or direction (or if there is, it changes every week, as the CEO pleases). Very strange company culture where it is acceptable to be very late for meetings. Equally, most meetings overrun by 15-20 mins, especially if the CEO is present. Most decisions are made at the top, so don't expect to be respected as an expert in your field - if the CEO says it needs to be done completely the opposite way, there is no way anyone will disagree or voice their concerns. Expect your skills to worsen while you're at Soldo - there isn't much opportunity to show them off or apply them. Most of the time it is rather quiet. While people are nice, middle management is non existent, so all of the decisions that are being made by the CEO are not communicated properly to the company or down the ranks. You will be in the dark most of the time. The turnover is so high. It is shocking. Most people I met during my first week during intros have told me they are leaving. Others have followed shortly. No culture of giving feedback, whether positive or negative. Lots of things are always being planned with none of them ever materialising.

Thanks for taking the time to post. As a business we’ve had an amazing 12 months, culminating in January with our One Soldo event where everyone had the chance to share their ideas as well as hear from our Founder CEO along with several other key leaders from across the orgnaisation. We’re super proud that as a company we’ve continued to grow even during the tough times of 2022 and the start of 2023 and as a result we’re continuing to hire with a number of opportunities and new roles having been created through Soldo’s growth. And while like any business we’re sad to see some wonderful people leave us for new adventures, we’re also thrilled to see some of our most talented and long-serving team members go from strength to strength. Building one of the fastest growing fintech companies in Europe with nominations in Deloitte Fastest 50 and G2 Spring Leader of the Year doesn’t happen by chance so ensuring everyone has the environment to thrive and grow is something we continue to invest our time and effort into.

Pros

There's a lot of nice things that Soldo offer/ give to you to make your work environment nice, such as: > WeWork office > Diversity > Management are generally very seasoned and have been round the block > Business solutions work and have an actual impact on companies out there > CEO's Influential

Cons

Sadly, however, it’s not all sunshine and roses. Soldo is extremely toxic. The ship is sinking under the rising tide of nepotism. I'm not going to go into too much detail on the cons, because it's sad to focus on negatives. Soldo don't value their staff as they should with what feels like a bullying culture. No social events, and you really do feel like a number here rather then a name. A lot of scapegoating and this creates a very stressful, prison-like workplace. I think it’s also fair to say that technically I regressed during my time at Soldo Things move painfully slowly. The tasks are generally fairly menial. Most of the cool stuff has already been built. I think, however, I became a lot smarter as to what sort of politics can go on at medium sized organisations. A valuable, yet shocking experience.
