Pros

people you get to work with are great, at least the one on the ground rather than the "gods" in the untouchable leadership team

Cons

UK team launched successful add-on product got laid off Canada team launched successful expansion that bring direct revenue, got laid off The only ones saved are if you cost the company as little as possible (aka be in India). And in doing the layoffs, they would do the very bare minimum they can get away with without getting sued, there's absolutely no other consideration to the people impacted other than the money they get to save. "Work is good, when life is better" and their supposed focus on "Employee Experience" are just platitudes. Actions speak louder than words and while layoffs may be inevitable, they will chose the worse way to do it to you.

We know how hard these experiences can be and appreciate your honesty. Layoffs are always challenging, and their impact on individuals and teams is not lost on us. While cost and capacity sometimes constrain what we’re able to do, we remain focused on making decisions thoughtfully and with care for everyone involved. We welcome any additional feedback you’d like to share. Thank you again for taking the time to share your perspective.

Pros

Pay is slightly higher than average in the market locally Remote work

Cons

This company has fired the whole team TWICE after it launched the product. Job security is at stake even if you shipped something to the market. The response rate across teams is slow. You will not receive a response until it is escalated.

Thank you for your feedback. We know these challenges are hard and appreciate your honesty. Layoffs and changes are tough. While some decisions are driven by business realities, we understand they bring uncertainty. Our goal is to build a stable foundation for the team and the company’s future. We hear your concerns about slow response times. Clear and timely communication is critical, and we’re working to improve this across teams. Your advice on product stability and contractor reliance is valid. Leadership is focused on making smart investments to set both our team and products up for success. Thank you for sharing your perspective—it helps us do better.

Pros

- Good salary - Unlimited PTOs

Cons

- Terrible tech: You won't learn much here, the site works because there is a tons of QA having to manually test everything to make sure changes in a service A did not make service B explode - Project management: Things are always on fire, and you move from one top priority to the next - Nepotism: Let's just say it helps to have contacts in the top of the org, and you can just cruise - Low opportunities for career advancement, as a senior, you will just churn code, and that's it - Fired the most productive team from the UK, rotated projects to Canada, fired the Canada team, now all the development is back in India - The image Simpplr tries to give to the rest of the world is much different than what you experience inside

We appreciate your feedback and the time you spent at Simpplr. We're sorry to hear your experience didn’t reflect the culture we work hard to build. We take pride in our PPL, our innovation, and our commitment to growth—both as a company and as individuals. On tech: We’re continuously evolving our platform, and while no system is perfect, we don’t rely on manual QA to keep things running. Our engineering teams are actively improving automation, scalability, and performance. On project management: We move fast because we’re ambitious. Priorities shift, but that’s the reality of scaling a high-growth company. We aim for focus while staying adaptable. On career growth: We believe in creating opportunities and investing in talent. Many team members have grown their careers here, but we recognize not every experience is the same. On team changes: These decisions are never easy, and while restructuring is sometimes necessary, we do not take it lightly. Simpplr is far from perfect, but we don’t shy away from the hard work of making things better. If you’d like to share more, we’re always open to learning. Wishing you the best in what’s next!
