Pros
I worked at SentiSum for around a year. The core team is small but tightly knit, and I got to interact with almost everyone on a regular basis. The work culture is friendly and supportive, and people will always be willing to help you with your tasks, be it whether you're stuck or just waiting on another person. By interacting with all the teams, tech and otherwise, I also learnt about domains that I had no prior experience with, especially those that are customer facing. Sharad (CEO), Kirsty and the rest of the team are very open to suggestions - you will always feel that your opinions are valued and your inputs are both asked for and taken seriously. As part of a smaller team at a startup that is still growing, you will be expected to pull your weight and keep pace with the rest of the tech team, which comprises very capable and skilled people. This also means that there is a lot of opportunity to learn and pick up new skills that will be invaluable in your career. This was my first industry job right out of school and honestly, I have no regrets.
Cons
You're expected to make meaningful contributions and take initiative on your own. Not a place for slackers and people looking for an easy time.
