Pros

This a good company with amazing talent. It offers a great and diverse atmosphere. Good culture and sense of camaraderie. The benefit package offered is excellent including an amazing sports program and the ability to travel to any Scality office in the world to work for a week!

Cons

Long hours but no one seem to mind because we all want to do our best. Communication in silos but getting better.

A sexist company with no respect for women

Pros

Good food. Some other good perks.

Cons

Male dominated management. No women in important management roles. Senior management does not respect employees. Senior management is quick to assign blame for failures but never look in the mirror. Smart women should avoid this company at all costs.

Pros

Co-workers are great. Most employees are hard working, passionate, smart, fun, and great people to work with. Object storage itself is an exciting, "new" technology. Lots of variety in the work, and that is amazing if you like to wear a lot of different hats.

Cons

Upper management at the C level is a crap shoot. COO is toxic. For a company of this size, the level of petty behavior, stemming from the top, is abhorrent. Product has major flaws, and these never seem to truly get resolved. Product does not show well, and while the technology should be selling a lot better, it is clear as to why it does not. They will work the hell out of you, like it or not. Yes, it's a small company, but still. Compensation was competitive at first, but never changed in 2 years. Company's numbers were more or less stagnant over that period as well. Not a good sign. Mix 7-day work weeks with poor company performance and horrible upper management, and it's pretty far from a great work environment. Bottom line: if you like what you do, and want to be treated and valued as a professional, do not take a job with Scality.
