Disciplined, Stable Company with Good People
Apr 20, 2023 - Sales & Marketing Representative in Raleigh, NCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Pros: -Great earning potential that is reliable -Sales is a service that is helping the client -Supportive environment as long as you are contributing as expected -Strong culture -You can rely on everyone being held to a high standard -Training provided and opportunities to learn more if you want to -Systems & support that help you become efficient so you can create work/life balance -Disciplined approach that creates stability in an often unstable market-driven industry -Ability to take a weekend off & reasonable hours -Company stock provided
Cons
Cons: -The mindset behind "growing" and promotions in the company feels like a carrot is being dangled for years with great benefit to those presenting the opportunity and little benefit to the person working toward it. Plan to be comfortable in the role you join in for the long haul. -There is a sentiment that sales is paid too much and that because of that, work/life balance sacrifices can be asked & expected of you (like you being asked to not take time off at times management does not want you to) -In strong markets, having sales capped (pro & con-- disciplined approach that doesn't always feel good but in hindsight likely saves jobs)

Pros
Fast paced environment with the ability to learn new skills. Great company name to have on your resume.
Cons
Lack of career advancement if you're not in the "boys club". Upper management cares very little about employees and only wants to see dollar signs for their bonus. Ryan Homes boasts competitive insurance, but overall the plan is garbage. High co-pays and barely any coverage with lots of hidden fees.
