An exciting company to be part of and an exciting time to be part of it

Pros

An exciting place to work where you can see the results you personally deliver to not only the organization but to the clients served and their customers. The corporate direction is on a path for strong growth by leveraging technology advancements and increasing the market footprint. Many pros to RouteMatch include: - Choose your own destiny when it comes to career path and success - Hotbed of innovation - Collaborative work environment - Good work/life balance - Positive management engagement with staff with monthly company-wide updates - Constant organized social outings - Beautiful office, unlimited soda, coffee, snacks, etc and a foosball table!

Cons

Structural changes in the last 8 months have increased turnover, however, 90% of those who have left have been replaced by brighter and more competent teammates. Not enough accountability at both the individual and departmental level, but this too has been improving through increased transparency and departmental alignment

Not what they used to be.

Pros

When I first started at Routematch, almost 5 years ago, it was a great company. Very family oriented and they truly seemed to care about their employees. They allowed for growth within the organization and seemed to foster teamwork.

Cons

They aren't the same company. They have old technology that they're desperately trying to update, hoping maybe someone will buy them one day. They're late to the party on almost every new technology and are the opposite of innovative. I think management realized this and it spurned the lay-offs and quarterly restructuring they started doing. Loyalty to long term employees became non-existent and they started dropping anyone with tenure (higher salaries) to bring in new people. I'll admit that some of the lay offs were needed, but many were people who put in a lot of good work for RouteMatch and were then just canned. Remember that family oriented notion I mentioned in the "Pros?" Yeah, that's not them anymore. Another thought, when you're across the street from Georgia Tech, but outsource your development to Ireland because it's cheaper, that isn't a great sign.
