A great experience because of the 'down to earth' colleagues, and a quality product line.
Pros
My co-workers were the best that I've ever worked with, and the product we were dealing with was high quality. The benefits were very good, and every so often management would add a benefit, or enhance an existing one. Concern for safety was high, and treated with the respect that it should be. Hours worked were regular and very reasonable, and we were never pressured to work late, or work on weekends.
Cons
If you 'won' a large project, you had to manage that project through to completion, while also performing your regular job function — quoting new projects, entering and managing day to day sales orders, reading through project technical requirements, all while learning about a complex product line with its own specifications and capabilities. Needless to say, stress levels could rise quickly depending on how many demands were pressing on your time.
