Pros

I met a few nice people

Cons

Pay is low 401K is not matched every year...they give out gift cards as a bonus if they can't match that year. They have no true experience with CTMS. Their data management department is slow and very ineffective The CEO talks about selling his company constantly They have repetitive calls weekly with their sponsors. 2 calls a week is fine. They do not understand how to utilize trackers Communication is with project managers and lead CRAs is non-exsistent

Pros

There are still some good eggs in the company and they can make the place bearable on occasion

Cons

Before being bought by Wuxi, this was absolutely the greatest place to work. I believed this would be the company I worked for for the rest of my life. The people, the culture and the leadership made this place very special. However after being sold to Wuxi, the company completely changed. Wuxi is a massive corporation, however, they try to operate like a small company in order to cut costs. The new blood in the company resorts to finger-pointing and can kicking in order to get tasks done. The executive team is a complete waste of space. Our new head of US is a corporate figurehead. He is not on your side no matter how much he tries to paint himself as an ally for the US Team. He doesn’t stand up for the US team, routinely falls back on his word and can hardly bumble his way through a sentence. HR also isn’t on your side. Nothing you say is confidential. HR will not only repeat your confessions to corporate but she will also share them with her colleagues which makes navigating the already tense office culture more stigmatizing. If you are feeling overwhelmed and overworked, or that you are being asked to work beyond your means, there isn’t anyone you can go to. You are forced to endure in order to get your paycheck. Job descriptions are not defined and you will routinely be asked to work on projects that you have little to no experience in and will be given little guidance and tight deadlines to complete. There is little opportunity for growth and company hierarchy is a complete mess. There are manager-level people who have no upper authority and that leads them to act like tyrants. The corporate office in China is very powerful and will eliminate anyone without following standard disciplinary procedures. Our COO was pushed out because the CEO did not respect women leaders. Our head of BD, CDO and CFO were also forced out. Our head of IT who was with the company for decades, was forced out then replaced by a Chinese figurehead who knows nothing about our systems and has made day to day life and tech at the company a total nightmare. This place is nothing like the company I started with years ago. Their new practices are unethical and the management team will do anything to cut corners in order to save money---even if it means lying to clients and stepping on their own employees. Do not work here.

Pros

Bought by a successful Chinese company

Cons

No sales, no pipeline to speak of, no leadership in BD, CEO blames everyone for no business, antiquated processes from the 80's, lack of ability to compete, desire to do things exactly the way they always have.
