Where to start? To say the weight will be lifted off my shoulders when I find a new job is an understatement. Rescon presents itself as a family oriented, friendly place however that is not true. Rather you are met with fake smiles and personalities from management who could really care less about you or what you are doing unless you are not meeting their standards to get through tickets fast enough. However, if you are special enough to be favored by them then expect for great things to come. List of cons: - barely minimum wage for the amount of work you are expected to do. Better to go work at a retail store or fast food restaurant. - training can be vague and expect when asking questions to be met with an attitude from some management figures. - hope you don't have an eye for a promotion, the person that was just hired will get it before you due to favoritism. - certain management treat the CEO like he is a literal God (like someone said below) and often many other than the managers do not know who he actually is other than being forced to attend "talks" done by him. - "Talks" done by the CEO often do not bring any value to someone working at Rescon or just in general. Usually just YouTube videos played during a zoom and that you are forced to attend live or watch after they are uploaded and do a survey. If you don't do the survey except to be written up. Often many to do with stress, anxiety, communication, finances, etc. that would come better from a licensed therapist or a professional speaker rather than a YouTube video filled with scriptures to "fix your issues" like they claim. Or heck, just be normal and make your company wide meetings on the goals that you have for the companies, departments, etc. and if you have met them and what you plan to do to meet them. And spend time getting to know the workings of every department. Telling someone how to budget via religious YouTube videos does not qualify as "professional development." - don't expect the CEO to know who you are (even though you work for a small company), you'll never actually meet him, talk to him, or see him speak within team slack channels. Highly convinced he has no clue what we do all day or that Rescon exists half the time. - they make you feel that they have done you a favor to hire you. - be expected to supply your own equipment. Not keeping up with the current trends for work from home positions/companies. - expect to attend meetings right when you are getting off in the evenings or if you have been off for a few hours. Often meetings are held at 7/8/or even 9 PM CT. You are REQUIRED to drop everything you are doing to attend them. Even if you are notified 8-24 hours beforehand of a team meeting, expect to be there or be written up - even if you are on vacation, sick, or it's your day off. - the turnover rate is a hilarious. - top heavy in management - like 6 managers for about 20 people including the managers. - heaven forbid you are sick, be expected to do the managers job by having to find someone to cover your shift. You are forced to switch shifts with someone else because the managers are too "busy" to help, so be expected work on your day off - team managers don't even know the stuff that they are managing. - if you are swamped in work, don't expect the managers to help out. - hope you don't want a life, you will constantly be bothered. - better stay on top of working, you'll get pinged if a ticket sits for more than 2 mins even if everyone is already working on something - but don't expect the managers to help with it! - weekly team meetings bring no value and you are often spoken to like you are child. Very degrading. - expect high stress with no care from management. - for your quarterly reviews be prepared to do most, if not all the work of the managers. You are REQUIRED to review yourself, extremely critically, and then schedule a meeting with your team lead to go over what your goals are and how to improve on your goals with possibility of a $.25 raise. - the most senior manager comes off as cold, extremely fake, rude, and has no empathy which empathy is one of the many, many values that the company prides itself on. - they bribe you with gift cards to work overtime, to post nice little reviews to get them more employees, and various other things. - if you quit be expected to be talked bad about and made to feel bad that you have found a better job then working at Rescon. There are way more, but I believe this at least gets some of my point across to not work here. You may see nice reviews below, but remember most, if not all of us were given gift cards to leave them. Please do not lower yourself to working here. There are some great current and past coworkers that I will forever keep in contact with, but it is not worth the stress and tears. You are not cared about only the income that you bring in. You are not going to be wanted or valued. You will be nothing more than a place holder until you get fired or just quit. There are much better companies to work for, believe me I'm looking.
