As someone who is [diagnosed with] and openly autistic, I am aware that I can be very direct and that I have social and communication limitations that I continue to work on and improve. At the same time, my role as a business owner and clinical supervisor requires me to set policies, maintain professional and ethical standards, and make decisions that are not always popular but are necessary for the practice and the patients we serve. Pros

As a former clinician at Refresh Psychotherapy, I appreciated the flexibility and supportive environment. The supervisors and clinicians were collaborative and open to providing constructive feedback. The CEO was kind, respectful, and genuinely passionate about the mental health work we provided to clients. Even during the challenges of the pandemic, the management team was understanding and helpful. It was one of the best companies I’ve worked for; I only left to focus on medical needs and self-care as a new mom.

Cons

Honestly, there’s none I can think of. However, There’s always room for improvement, even in a company that strives to prioritize its staff and clients.
