A true team environment!

Pros

The employees and management work together as a team to foster an environment that focuses on a success for everyone. This is demonstrated by how management makes themselves accessible for questions, input, and guidance. The doors and communication are definitely open. One definitely gets the feeling we are all in this together. They offer extensive training and growth opportunities to prepare you for a career with PyraMax Bank, not just a job. They are also very community-minded and encourage everyone to volunteer (paid for this!) to give back to the communities that they serve.

Cons

The systems can be tricky to navigate, so be patient. It definitely takes time to learn how to navigate through all of the processes.

Pros

Opportunity for advancement, good benefits, scholarship program.

Cons

The HR department is also in charge of other large departments which is a big conflict. Upper management tries to make you think they care but they have their own personal agendas. At one point they specifically called certain people to ask them to leave Glass door reviews and then they watched to see if you did. If you didn't they called you back. They must have called one at a time and then watched for it. That was very uncomfortable for my co-workers who were called.

Thank you for your feedback. We have always posted almost every job opening internally first, and we will continue to stand by that commitment. Sometimes, due to unforeseen circumstances, the need to fill a position is too urgent to post. In those rare instances, we commit to doing our due diligence and filling the position with the very best candidate. We always make promotional decisions fairly, based on equal qualification standards for all applicants. We did invite our employees to leave a review for us on Social Media, never stating that it was mandatory, as we wish to be open and honest to all job-seekers. We also strive to always do right by our employees. Our employee’s opinions are important to us, and the confidential format of Glass Door is an excellent tool and valuable resource for us to learn more about the feelings and viewpoints of our staff. I am sorry to hear your view of upper management. I can assure you that we absolutely do care about our employees. We back this up with more than words spoken here. We strive to always offer the very best benefits, we promote a work/home life balance, and we encourage open communication. We truly want to be a Great Place to Work, and we believe that good employees have an amazing and positive impact on a company. I encourage you to speak with me if you wish to discuss any of your frustrations or why you have a negative outlook about us or your job, so that steps may be taken to correct any issues and we can show you that you are a valued member of the Team.
