Pros

Project Agora has some talented professionals of good character, providing an opportunity to work alongside experienced individuals. Unfortunately, a lot of them are leaving the company. Nevertheless, it’s a good starting point for those interested in building a career in the adtech industry, offering exposure to key aspects of the field.

Cons

Leadership lacks depth in their understanding of key issues, leading to shallow decision-making. Instead of providing meaningful guidance, they tend to micromanage a wide range of activities, which results in misguided directions. The goals set for teams are unrealistic, which creates demotivation. Additionally, the frequency of always-on monitoring chats, meetings, and syncs provide continuous interruptions, often leaving employees feeling drained, hindering their ability to focus on deep, meaningful work. The pay is below market average, and annual raises for even high-performing individuals are far below inflation rates. Employees are often given additional responsibilities under the guise of "development opportunities," but these increased duties rarely come with a corresponding pay increase.

Pros

The starting salary for me was great at 1700E/month Some of their teams are very well managed

Cons

During the interview, they promised that my salary would increase within 1 year to at least 1800E (I initially asked for 1800E) but they only increased my salary by 30E. Ridiculous, considering it was LESS than inflation. The team I ended up in is horribly managed and overworked, there is no collaborative spirit, nor a support system. The managers lie to your face. Some of the managers are even ironic when you propose mistakes. They fire people without warning. They fired me one month after they got in a 1-on-1 call with me and told me "I know we recently fired people but you are not in any danger". "Family" is obviously just corporate talk for them. They keep stressing how they will do anything for you to feel comfortable but once you start suggesting changes they never follow through.

Pros

Met some good professionals with knowledge and integrity.

Cons

A challenging environment for those seeking growth in a well-structured and knowledgeable organization. While there are talented individuals within the team, the management lacks the necessary depth of understanding and strategic direction in the field. This often results in decisions that may not align with industry best practices or the company’s long-term goals. Moreover, there seems to be an emphasis on internal politics rather than fostering a culture of collaboration and productivity. This environment can be limiting for those who are passionate about contributing meaningfully and driving positive change. The lack of entrepreneurial spirit and innovation further hampers the potential for both personal and professional development. For individuals who thrive in dynamic and well-led environments, this might not be the most suitable place. However, there are still opportunities to learn and grow if one is prepared to navigate the complexities and focus on their own development.
