    Pros

Nice Staff. It's the place to start your career. Beer Fridays.

    Cons

Poor management. No place to grow. Nobody wants to stay their long term. HR is a joke. Management have no respect for staff. No benefits. The company has many flaws but no-one cares about fixing problems.

I worked at Prime Focus full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Meet some really cool people - Learned how to deal with unreasonably stressful situations - new hires lift morale for a little while.

    Cons

    - Met some of the most disorganized and patronizing people. - Minimal facilities : nowhere to sit for lunch, forcing employees to sit at desks. There are 2 large balconies perfect for eating areas yet have remained unfurnished for over a year now. - If you have a problem with another staff member, Don't worry, your complaints will be swept under the rug and completely ignored by HR. - HR is unbearably difficult to deal with, don't provide any support to their staff. - often there would be nobody from HR in the office; with no explanation of where they were or when they would be in the office. - no email responses at all from HR. - Upper management have absolutely no loyalty to their staff. - Admin are treated like personal slaves. - No performance review, just another contract shoved in your face without so much as an overview; denying opportunity to ask for a pay raise.

I worked at Prime Focus full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Met some good people. Beer fridays? Paid decent if you negotiated for what you wanted.

    Cons

Extremely disorganized. My conversations with other senior staff in different departments confirmer my suspicion that head office was stubborn and didn't understand how the company needed to be run. It was like if you went upto someone and asked them if they knew how to build a bridge. They'd say yes, even if they had never heard of a bridge before. Then you try to cross the river and it all you saw was a pile of rubble. Too bad though. They were trying to improve and managed to secure some good people. Then they lost them all during their implosion. :)

I worked at Prime Focus full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Initial team was fantastic, with a feel of camaraderie and a skillset to match

    Cons

After the change in head, it went downhill. Hiring people with void experience as 'seniors' and then getting rid of their more experienced staff, to save money and hire more juniors. Little to no support from management Knee jerk reactions to solving issues Too much focus on bean counting, and less care and attention to workers needs Sporadic worker cuts
