Pros

Friendly environment Supportive staff Somewhat job flexibility

Cons

They need security of some sort. They recently started closing shift MOD which is great but most the MOD are women. Typically they have high-schoolers on at night that are on their phones a lot but members can get out of hand, rude and threatening in which theses kids have no experience handling and not taken seriously by adults if asked to calm down. Without security this is destine for a very bad situation to occur. Staff are told that if there is a altercation between members or members toward staff that we need to stand down and call Manger of Operations to come in and diffuse the situation or wait until it becomes physical to call the police. We are not allow to ask them to leave the facility. At the front desk we are not allow to work alone during any shift. For 3 straight months they had me scheduled alone closing shift on Fridays. It wasn't too bad but being a female is difficult when I had day I had to juggling a man that needs their locker unlocked (as a female I cant enter their locker room, we dont male staff available to open the locker and we have to simply just trust that member or guest will only open their locker and bring our one and only key for both rooms back) at the same time someone is struggling to scan in, a member wants to sign up for a class while another is checking in for a class, someone is trying to steal from the cafe and the phone is ringing. It's happened.
