      Pros

      Over the past few years, Plotly has proven its worth by slowly transforming itself from a tech. start-up to a young, ambitious SME in Canada. Working with Plotly has broadened my perspective and enhanced my knowledge of the tech. start-up world. Plotly has a very unique working culture which allows the employees to develop their own motivation and strength in the daily working environment. A fun fact: Everyone works in Plotly has his/ her own specific hobby - more or less artistic or sportive.

      Cons

      Plotly is still in its process of transformation, which also means that some policies or strategies will be adjusted or added according to different situations. In general, it is great for a young company keeps moving on and improving itself, however it may shake the stability within from time to time.

      Pros

      Working on small, interdepartmental teams gives individuals a lot of responsibility while facilitating the acquisition of new skills. Having the opportunity to learn and expand my skillsets on a regular (if not daily) basis is my favourite part about working at Plotly. It's super rewarding to see the products develop, improve, and expand due to the knowledge and creativity of the team as a whole.

      Cons

      Plotly is still considered a startup and as an employee you must be flexible and adaptive as plans and structures change often. While these changes can be considered exciting rather than a con, if you're used to strict and long-term consistency you may find this environment to be difficult.

      Pros

      Very energizing to be among colleagues who love the work. Emphasis is on quality of work, flexible scheduling is great for work-life balance. The company is at an exciting moment of growth: offices just expanded and renovated, the team is growing. Great conversations happening here show management is mindful of the company's internal culture and external role in the community.

      Cons

      Will require adjusting if you're used to a more structured/corporate work setting. It should be communicated in the beginning that employees are typically expected to provide their own computer for work, which might not be expected for those unfamiliar with startup work.
