Pros

Great technology and lots of passionate people in the field.

Cons

Too many former Monsanto employees who created a fraternity and brought their playbook with them. They don’t care about customers or field employees, only lining their pockets.

Pros

Working at Berkeley HQ was fun. People were smart and capable. There was room to be yourself and make decisions that impacted the quality of work and integrity of the data coming out of pipelines.

Cons

After another round of layoffs and the closing of the Berkeley location it is clear that R&D has been put on ice at Pivot. New leadership have business backgrounds. It never felt like the science that went on at Berkeley was well integrated into broader decision making, and the shuttering of Berkeley makes that more evident. New employees should be ready for Pivot the be bought by another company.
