Pros

Dogs in the office (but the owner of the company doesn’t really like them)

Cons

1. It’s a trap, you’re wooed into thinking this place is the BEST job you’ll every have when it’s totally the opposite 2. You are nothing to them - you’re skills mean nothing, they probably never read your CV properly and your opinion doesn’t matter 3. When you try to really make an impact or change things for the better you’ll get shut down because it’s not a priority 4. The only priority is making money and fast 5. There is no sense of work/life balance - you are expected to work all hours for nothing more than a smile (if that, because it’s expected). And if you don’t, you get penalised… all you have to do is read a contract to see this. 6. Trust nobody - there are eyes and ears everywhere 7. If you’re not a ‘YES’ person you probably won’t last longer than a few months 8. The only good review on here is tactical and definitely not truthful 9. There is no pension scheme 10. There is no progression 11. Rubbish pay…21K max 12. The turnover of staff is actually ridiculous… you’ll be lucky to see the same people in your team for a whole month 13. When people leave they are never really replaced… the job is then split between the people left 14. You’ll be there so much you probably won’t have time to eat or even do your laundry… so good job your dog can come in I suppose 15. There’s always a ‘pet person’ they receive gifts to keep them sweet until the boss needs something from someone else 16. Holiday is frowned upon 17. If you’re sick (because of over working) They will NEVER believe you and will be suspicious forever more. Same rule applies for family emergencies. 18. They employ brilliant people and destroy them 19. If you’re unhappy there’s nobody to talk to because HR is non-existent so they will continue to use and abuse you until you have no soul or fight left 20. You’re not aloud to socialise with co-workers and you must eat at your desk or you’re not working hard enough

Pros

The team that I worked with were lovely, no nastiness, lots of social events and we were all very supportive of one another. The location is fab and the office building is gorgeous.

Cons

They will chew you up and spit you out. Don't even think about defending yourself against wrongly placed criticism, it will be your demise. Top tier management & founders are so false it is not funny, no-one is safe and dismissals come quickly and for little to no reason. One colleague, they begged to come back after she left and then when she agreed let her go within a matter of months. No one stays here long.... they do not understand staff loyalty, everyone is dispensable. Also I have noticed in a lot of their responses to other reviews, they still consider themselves a startup... although that starts to get a bit tenuous when they have been going for 7 years. - being a "start up" isn't an excuse for treating staff badly.

Pros

A nice picture of Princess Diana on the wall- that's it

Cons

Filled with judgement and tension. The whole environment is toxic. The CEO does not have any sense of kindness or humanity- she looks down on everyone despite not knowing how to hold a conversation herself The higher level staff seem friendly at first but you quickly realize they are just her puppets and lack a basic level of care or thought for anyone but themselves. The whole business model is a mess- I would never book with them because you would be lucky to even get the stay you have paid for. They don't like to employ anyone with their own mind or confidence, and if you do then they will belittle you into having self doubt. Such a horrible place to work. And bound to fail as the whole team lack imagination or a sense for business. Once you leave you feel so empowered. Now I am in a new role that I adore, I could not imagine ever working in a place like that again.
