I have been working at Paychex full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company as a whole is an amazing company to work for. It is a company that truly cares about their employees. From day one I knew that this is a company that I want to plant roots with and grow into a career. They give you all of the tools necessary to make you successful. While it can be stressful, everyone is happy to come to work.

    Cons

I personally am not a fan of the training style. It's a lot of reading and webinars. I feel that with as much information that is given, the best method of training would be classroom style, Instructor lead training. But that is just me. I know everyone has different learning styles.

    Advice to Management

Continue doing a great job of supporting your employees.

I have been working at Paychex full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone who works here is fantastic and super nice. The benefits are amazing and the company really goes above and beyond to take care of their own. They provide a lot of training and you have a great support system within the company. They work with you to help plan your career path and focus on your success

    Cons

The training is helpful but a long process (5 weeks) and can be a little dry

I have been working at Paychex full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good culture. Benefits are great and management tends to listen to the needs of it's employees. Work/life balance is better than most other companies I have worked for.

    Cons

Dress code is enforced when you never see clients, everything is over the phone or email. Other companies do pay better.

    Advice to Management

More casual days, or going completely casual would be nice.

I have been working at Paychex full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone is so helpful and nice, I have not met one person who was not willing to help, which is GREAT team work. The supervisors are all so welcoming and give such a great atmosphere.

    Cons

Training is rough, with all the information and WebEx's, they get old fast. But you are supported the whole way through and it makes it a little more bearable.
SO MUCH FOOD- you will gain weight! ;)

    Advice to Management

You all rock, keep doing what you do!!!

I worked at Paychex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Paychex is a great start up company for your career. They invest a lot into their people and inspire people to reach their greatest potential. The benefits are great and management is very good.

    Cons

Downsides of Paychex is simply the pay and in some departments, advancement. The company invest a lot into their Sales department and all their client facing employees (which generate the $, I know). However, the Paychex teams "behind the scenes" are left behind. The pay could definitely be greater for the amount of responsibilities given. You cannot live off a Paychex salary (not in all cases of course, if you are a supervisor and above, then yes).

I have been working at Paychex full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are awesome, no weekends are required

    Cons

Pay is low compared to competition

    Advice to Management

Not all employees base their views on the "total compensation package" as many live paycheck to paycheck, please review your pay schedules as they are very low at least in the Denver Metro area compared to competition.
