Pros

Lunch provided Snacks are fully stocked Benefits

Cons

Cliquey coworkers Typical venture capital attitudes with very little diversity in the team Company paid way too much attention to party/ social gatherings during my time there instead of value or quality of work the employee provided Long company meetings with puerile projects that waste time or that should be done 1 on 1 with employee managers instead of merely updating the team on goals, what's going on, plans for the future

Pros

OpenView offers great benefits and the space is beautiful - anything you need can be found in the office!

Cons

Changes in managing partners have ultimately effected the culture negatively, going from a Firm that puts its employees second to investors has slid to employees last.

Pros

Nice office, good snacks, good lunch, free healthcare, unlimited vacation, convenient office location, lean teams so youll never be bored (also a con?), interesting portfolio companies that seem to perform well, fun events

Cons

so-so 401k plan (no match?), low pay compared to colleagues in the industry, no opportunity to coinvest or profit sharing (unless your high up in corporate the ladder), little transparency around career trajectory/opportunities to advance in your career, minimal diversity, typical "VC culture" i.e. cliquey, work life balance not great (expected to be always "on" makes it tough to take your "unlimited" vacation), seemingly inexperienced management, bad vibes from CEO (seemed more interested in $ than his employees needs, or his employees at all), generally appeared to be a lot of turnover for reasons that felt shady and unclear.
