Pros

Pay is good, health insurance is great

Cons

You start with no vacation, you get paid once a month. The owner's mentality is to "work until the job is done", which will require a ton of unpaid OT including 20+ hour days. Work place is not very safe; during my 5 month tenure there were at least 2 lost time injuries. Extremely toxic workplace where your efforts are not valued, owner will talk down to you and cuss at you for anything that strikes him the wrong way. Training is non-existent, which is especially dangerous considering the type of work you will be doing. Your job title may be engineer, but you will be doing very little engineering. Near 100% turnover. You will be required to travel and work in grey areas of the law. No work-life balance. Owner works 7-day weeks, 10-18 hour days and that will be expected of all employees.

Pros

Average pay for engineers and slightly above average benefits package. A nice place to gain experience in whichever filed you are in. mechanical engineering, field engineering etc.

Cons

Honestly I don't even know where to start, the employees are nice people but most of them are not remotely trained enough to be doing what they do, the need for an experienced person in the hydrogen field should be prioritized because it is absolutely horrendous at this organization. It is expected that people work very long hours with no extra pay due to being on salary and little to no bonus package. It is extremely toxic as there is no work life balance and if you are married or dating there is no space for a relationship. You will be expected to work 6 days as a minimum and sometimes 7 days. Sunday is the only day of grace. it is extremely tough to show your skills at a high level on a consistent basis because half the time you are fatigued from working long hours and weeks.
