      Pros

      Full service healthcare to a large region. Good rate of pay for Ontario. Strong RN union. Many opportunities for changing department or city to keep things fresh. New hospital with brand new equipment.

      Cons

      Health system very focused on the budget, large patient loads and frequently understaffed. Management paranoid about lawsuits so with a ridiculous patient and workload there are always new checklists and other forms and paperwork that you have to fill out creating flow sheet overload. Good luck actually spending time with your patients since you have so many, tons of paperwork, and more duties are always being offloaded to the nursing staff since every other discipline is overworked as well.

      Are willing to fire staff without hesitation or fair investigation, especially when it benefits them

      Cons

      Disgusting culture for staff; not inclusive or even professional They lack loyalty to those trying to work without harassment or discrimination Allow staff who are cancerous to fester and demoralize those around them and opt to fire everyone BUT the people who promote hate
