Pros

Get to work with decent mid-market and a couple of prestige clients. Nice location on the waterfront. Company has a long history of working with large clients.

Cons

The company represents itself a certain way to prospective employees but the reality was far from the expectations that they set. I don't think this was a conscious decision to mislead but rather a sign of how out-of-touch upper management is with the day-to-day operations of the company and the cutting edge of the industry. The recent reviews are clearly management's reaction to the very high turnover they've experienced recently--in the past 8 months, the company never had more than [redacted] full-time employees, including [redacted] owners and [redacted] managers. Of the non-management positions, at least [redacted] employees have resigned during this time period.

At Multimedia Solutions, we take our hiring and interviewing process very seriously. A great deal of effort goes into both vetting candidates, as well as ensuring potential employees understand overall job expectations. Candidates are afforded the opportunity to meet with each member of the management team as well as their peers in order to get a well-rounded view of expectations and responsibilities during our three-step interviewing process. We understand that a job interview is not just an interview of a candidate but also an opportunity for candidates to get to know our company, ask questions, and ultimately arrive at his or her own decision to join should a job offer be given. We pride ourselves in the fact that our team is long-standing and they all share a common focus on providing the highest levels of service to a great base of premier, long-term and loyal customers. Each of our long-standing team members possess a passion for the internet space and the solutions we collectively ideate. During the interview process, we discuss at length our culture and our value system as it serves as a baseline for conduct and decision guidelines. We encourage, applaud and support our team members for any public postings that they deem appropriate regarding their view of our brand, our culture and the accomplishments we have garnished together – 24 years standing. Mismatches in the interviewing and hiring process do occur from time to time, even though best efforts are made to avoid such costly mistakes. When this rare occasion occurs, we offer every opportunity to help that individual become a better professional, and if that’s not possible, to help them to move on so that any negative influence does not impact the rest of the team.

Pros

Good people, good management. Can be receptive to new ideas. The work is challenging too and definitely not your standard monotonous work load which is something I personally consider a big plus.

Cons

The very long hours. Standard work week is 40 hours, here it is 45 hours but you do not get compensation for those additional hours. More often than not you end up working 50 hours instead. Not much time given off and very few benefits compared to other competitors.
