Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookI worked at Moneris full-time
Pros
Laid back working environment. Excellent work/life balance for most employees. Nice and friendly people, relationship focused culture.
Cons
- Competitive only from a technology perspective. - Technology overrides business strategies, priorities and decisions. - Broken processes, automated and manual. No checks and balances. - Invests effort in building redundant governance and policies, that are not followed. - Conflict of interest - Many employees have family working in the company and sometimes on the same initiatives. Uneasy and awkward for other employees - Many employees have no clear understanding of their own department function and how it contributes to the company as a whole. - Departments lack accountability and ownership. - Inadequate technology resources, hence pathetic implementations. - Reinvent the wheel on projects and SDLC methodologies. - PMOs, both business and technology are incompetent, unproductive and uninfluential - New employees are groomed to discourage challenging the norm or raising concerns, many employees communicate fear of being let-go for doing so. - Anonymous employee survey are not really anonymous. Comments can be deciphered and broken down by unit, consequential to employees. - Workload on some employees are unrealistic and not distributed well. - Favouritism and Nepotism prevails. - Salaries are way below the industry standard. Competitors could easily poach Moneris employees

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Moneris full-time for less than a year
Pros
In my first few months at Moneris, I am shocked. The company has great culture, a family feeling, high standards and recognizes the responsiblity that comes with the high value they provide society with. As an employee, you are looked after and guided to success. Also, competitive salary and benefits.
Cons
None come to mind as a virtual employee
