So far so good, but we can improve more as a team and as a whole company by contributing our best.

I worked at Moneris full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

OK starting salary if you have no experience.

    Cons

Very low skill level required. Little upward mobility. Lousy hours. Only manager's buddies get prime good vacation time. However lots of free time if you want to do freelance on the side. High turnover. People unable to answer questions at head office. We have to relay on other tech's experience. Poor training and documentation. Poor routes; overlapping territories.

Geniuses in head office Stuck pictures of iPhones and tablets on vans making us sitting ducks for theives and junkies. Broken in once. Others not so lucky - one held up at knifepoint. I had to circle van before approaching to ensure
no one lingering. Warned manager - "Don't make waves" he said. Management only want to hear happy success stories. Someone has to get a knife in the gut before they change things.

Deliberate policy to install used untested crap in stores to make merchants seem happy when we replaced it super fast. Devices full of bugs. No initiative to fix problem - just sell something new.

    Advice to Management

Stop sending us happy HR newsletters about cupcakes and parties in head office, just send us crap that works. Don't oversell job and opportunities.
